The Award:
Represented by Dar Zayed for Family Care, Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs (ZHO) has adopted  The “Mother of UAE” Award for the ideal mother. The Award was launched in 2010, as an initiative by Her Highness to provide extensive support to the mothers particularly and the women generally. It is also a gesture of appreciation for their never-ending efforts and contributions in forming and nurturing a cohesive, harmonious society.  Mothers are the most responsible. They make sacrifices for the sake of their family, and raise strong-willed and integrated children capable of responding to life’s challenges, all for the good of the country.
(Award Message): To promote the concept of family stability and cohesion and to provide moral support and awareness to the Emirati families recognized for their cohesion and stability.

Objectives of the Award:
1- To promote competitive spirit among individuals, government sectors and institutions engaged in honoring their working mothers.
2- To support and encourage those working in humanitarian care houses, and to highlight the role of the alternative mother and foster families
3- To promote the level of services provided to children with special needs
4- To encourage the UAE families to conform to collective behavior and family cohesion
5- To encourage the families to hold on to everything that would promote their security and stability
6- To contribute in spreading the culture of cooperative and cohesive family and competitive spirit among families
7- To shed light on the role of the alternative mother at Dar Zayed for Family Care
