Zayed Center for Development and Rehabilitation has been established in 1994 under the instructions of H.H late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan may God bless his soul. The center is aiming to provide adult students with special needs with inclusion opportunities within the local community through delivering them rehabilitation skills and working towards raising social awareness with their abilities and capabilities in general in addition to qualify them in order to find a job opportunities later on in the local community. Students with special needs are working in the center in different production areas such as agricultural rehabilitation, animal’s husbandry and poultry skills besides beekeeping skills. The center is also encouraging students and their families to initiate and launch their small production projects which will secure them a monthly income.
