Activating inclusion for special needs in the mainstream schools has been considered as a strategic goal in Abu Dhabi agenda in order to support their education processes, which has encouraged Zayed Higher Organization to specify a special service called “ inclusion service”. which aims to enhance the transition processes for students with special needs from rehabilitation centers to the mainstream schools according to an efficient and fructuous partnership with Abu Dhabi Education council.
Inclusion service also provides students with “ outreach support services” which support their education through providing them with required specialized services such as Occupational therapy, Physio Therapy , Speech Therapy, Family Counseling and professional Development courses for teachers in the mainstream schools through a multidisciplinary team from Zayeh Higher Organization.
Inclusion Service Inclusion Service is provided by all Rehabilitation centers affiliated with Zayed Higher Organization.
Steps to complete the service:
• Students to be nominated for the Inclusion Program through the head of departments and the multidisciplinary team in Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care.
• Approval to be obtained from Abu Dhabi Education.
• A transition plan for students to be prepared during an official meeting of all disciplinary team members.
• Children to be referred to the mainstream school then provide them with the necessary outreach support services by a specialist team from Zayed Higher Organization.
